Rum Jungle
rumjungle (also Rumjungle or Rum Jungle) is a popular restaurant and nightclub located at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. It features a large bar in the center, with numerous tables for dining, reserved areas for VIP or "velvet rope" clients, and a dance floor, DJ booth and performance area in the back.
Typically, dining takes place during the day and early evening, and partygoers begin to arrive around 9:00pm. Like many Las Vegas nightclubs, on busy nights, Rum Jungle is filled to capacity, with frequent long lines at the door and bar, expensive cover charges and high-priced drinks. Still, it is undoubtedly one of the more successful nightclubs in the city, owing in no small part to its location within Mandalay Bay and the adjoining Luxor Hotel, both of which are very popular with the mostly younger nightclub crowds.
Go-go dancers, a staple of American nightclubs, are usually present, but Rum Jungle offers something unique: the dancers are hoisted high above the crowd and perform on trapeze swings and other platforms suspended from the high ceiling, making for a spectacular show, and ensuring that all patrons have an excellent view, no matter where they are located. The music varies from night to night, and the DJ is frequently augmented by a live percussionist.
